The Best of YouTube; Gaming Clips

According to EuroGamer, who gives us 10 categories filled with gaming clips;
This video is from #6. "In-game abuse: Oblivion dominoes"

(vid via momdu78)

Dave McCarthy, complied a hug list of YouTube gaming videos. There are Ten categories, and within those ten are several links to different videos. I spend a lot of time on YouTube, so I've seen or heard of most of them. Oh if you want of see the entire list click on Dave's name.

The video above is my favorite from the list, luv the music. The first time I saw this video was on Jenn Cutters blog, whom in my opinion is super cute, has got the sweetest smile I've ever seen... oh my heart.

I remember the first time I saw her it was like "Suddenly the wheels are in motion and I, I'm ready to sail any ocean" "Suddenly I don't need the answers,'Cos I, I'm ready to take all my chances with you", sniff... sniff that song gets me everytime.

Enchanted Arms: Xbox Live Gameplay

My first post was a somewhat negative review of Enchanted Arms, that review did not mention online gameplay. Well the good folks over at IGN did take a look at online gameplay, here is;

Multiplayer video #1 and...

(vid via me)

Here is Multiplayer video #2

(vid via me)

"It's been a dream of console RPG players to take their custom shaped squad of heroes and pit them against everyone else to see exactly who has the best tactics."

"Now, with the imminent release of Enchanted Arms, 360 owners everywhere can realize their dream and create the ultimate team - and prove it."

"The real concern now is how well the online battle system was implemented in Enchanted Arms."

Those were quotes from IGN's preview of Enchanted Arms online system. What did they think? To tell you the truth it was a bunch of words, and I'm a little light-headed, I just ate a bagel. Check out IGN's full preview here.

EXCLUSIVE: Just Cause dev diary 2

From GameVideos.com

(vid via doublespy)

Avalanche does more talkin' about Just Cause, good, details I must have details. I must play this game, I want to try out that parachute, and I want do battle dictators , I want too... sorry. Got a little too excited, hey can you blame me, the game looks great.

I like the fact that I have to choose sides, and depending on who I ally with and when, I can incite island factions against one another, sounds cool to me. Reminds me of "A Fistful of Dollars". One island two bosses and me right in the middle; crazy bell ringer was right, man could get rich in a town like this... I mean island, heh heh.

Enchanted Arms Review

Good news from IGN: "Enchanted Arms Ships", but before you rush out and buy it, check out this Review from GameTrailers.com;

Not the most positive review I've ever heard. Can't recall anything positive said about Enchanted Arms, I don't care it looks great, and I'm still gonna check it out. I suppose it would be smarter to check out a demo, or a rental, we'll see.

Metro 2033: The Last Refuge GC 2006 Trailer

"4A Games' Metro 2033: The Last Refuge is the latest first-person horror adventure to crawl out of the abyss. Revealed last week to European press, the PC/ PS3 first-person shooter is based on a popular Eastern European cult novel from Russian author Dmitriv Glukhovskiy called, you guessed it, Metro 2033."

"Built using an original proprietary engine, Metro 2033 is supposed to have all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a next-gen game when done. Gamma-corrected deferred shading, motion-blur, dynamic lighting (with thousands of light sources), are phrases that are already being thrown around. What sounds more impressive to us, though, is how gameplay can be tailored to fit your personal style. If someone would prefer to live out their mission as a heavy strike fighter instead of stealthy killer, they can do that. Or if a player is observant enough to recognize the current political climate, they can influence the plot to go in a completely different direction." That was from IGN.

As for me the video has a creepy vibe, so that's why I posted it. Plus I've never heard of it, and it's always cool to come across a new game in development, kinda follow it along, watch the progress of the game. Yeah I like to watch, I'm in to that kind of thing, I know I know... Say no more, nods as good as wink to blind bat.

Enchanted Arms Launch Trailer

From IGN it was posted on the 29th, yesterday how did I miss that, well better late than never.

(vid via me)

It occurred to me that I've posted several Enchanted Arms trailers, nothing wrong with that. The game is amazing lookin', the gameplay looks great, it's sweet visual candy.

They keep makin' 'em I'll keep postin' 'em, 'cause that's the way I roll... I don't really know what that means, but it sounds cool.

Final Fantasy Sims Dance-O-Rama

(vid via EGMDemian)

I don't have categories, but if I did I guess this video would have gone under 'WTF'. I have to admit I think it's pretty good, and I like the music.

I thought about posting this to my second blog, but I saw it again and thought maybe I could do something with it.

I was wrong, the video speaks for itself, I can't top it. To tell the truth I'm a little distracted 'cause I'm watching the U.S Open, Federer baby ah yeah!

Exclusive Crackdown Video

From IGN, sorry should have made that clear in the title... heh heh.

(vid via me)

"With Crackdown on the way, gamers will soon have another way to decimate a city, this time with all of the powers of a typical guy. A typical guy with superpowers, that is."

"In this latest look we get at Crackdown, we see one of the many ways to put that superhuman strength to good use. The hero of Crackdown doesn't need to sling webs or fly to make it across the city quickly. Instead, he'll just jump from building to building without worrying about what happens if he should come up a little bit short of that next ledge. In fact, the video shows what happens if he misjudges the next gap. Window sills make nice handholds for the quick leap back up to the rooftops."

"While the rooftop hopping may be the focus of the video, we're more impressed with how smooth it looks. The hand waving animations seen while the agent soars over streets are just cartoonish and stylized enough to match the overall feel of the world. Instead of going with the approaching classic thugsploitation style of sandbox games, Crackdown is taking the genre in a whole new direction in terms of style."

That was also from IGN. What do I think? Hmmmm... Oh no! I've got to go the penguins just exploded!

Saints Row; Review

GameTrailers.com has got a review of Saints Row, and now I've got something to post, sweet!

Interesting review not completely positive, but the game still looks like fun. I like the fact that all areas are open from day one, which is cool.

When I played GTA III and GTA Vice City, one of my favorite things to do was jump in my car turn up the radio and cruise.

Uh oh now I've done it.... "Baby, let's cruise away from here" "Don't be confused, the way is clear" "And if you want it you got it forever"... Sorry.

Resistance: Fall of Man First Look

GameSpot visits Insomniac to see how its first PlayStation 3 title is shaping up.

(vid via me)

Good interview, I like when things are explained to me in simple format that is easy to follow and understand. Nice visuals, cool gameplay, and a clear description of the game. Resistance: Fall of Man, is lookin' real nice.

Still I wonder what people will do when this game comes out, and there's no console to play it on? Yeah that's right you heard me.

PLAYSTATION 3 In Depth Retail Unit Walkthrough

"Sony unveils their highly anticipated final hardware to GameTrailers.com at GC 2006"

Hmmmm, since the PS3 is still not in production this must be the 'target final hardware'. What Sony is hoping it will look like if it's ever made. Oh no you didn't.... Yeah you heard me.

Sorry You Missed PAX?

I'am after seeing this picture.

"All the young girls love Alice, tender young alice they say. Come over and see me, come over and please me, Alice it's my turn today." That song rocks.

Inside Enchanted Arms Part 3;

Unlockable Characters

(vid via doublespy)

Can't get enough of this game, looks great. If I were to somehow 'get' :) an Xbox 360 this would be the first game I'd play on it.

The Godfather; Xbox vs. Xbox 360

GameTrailers.com gives us a look at both versions.

While the Xbox 360 one does look better, I'll most likely get my hands on the more affordable Xbox version. 'Cause Krispy Kreme takes my lunch money... big bully.

God Hand Preview

GameTrailers.com got themselves a build of Godhand and gives us the shaft... I mean scoop. What a horrible joke... but it's my only line. : )

Electronic Arts to Purchase Crytek?

Found this on Evil Avatar, "According to TG Daily, Electronic Arts may be in the market to fully purchase Crytek, the acclaimed developer of Far Cry and the upcoming Crysis!"

Well before EA buy's it, let's watch a Crysis live game demo from Liepzig;

New Armed Assault Trailer

I must be napping on the job, I saw this video on gametrailers.com Friday the 25th, but didn't click the play button. Well today I see it again at techeblog.com, this time I hit play. Looks like fun, like the music too.

All I have to do is upgrade my PC and I can play Armed Assault when it's released later this year. Unless I spent my money on pizza and doughnuts, which will most likely be the case. : )

The Settlers For DS First Completely Real Time RTS

This video is the PC version, "The Settlers II: the Next Generation (10th Anniversary)"

(vid via banditen)

This video is the DS version simply titled "The Settlers"

(vid via bumsfrikadelle)

I first saw this RTS yesterday on videogamesblogger.com, but for some reason didn't click play. Today I see it again on evilavatar.com, I start to wonder maybe there is something to see.

After checking out the video and reading both articles, I'm glad I did. The upper PC video describes what I'll be doing and it sounds pretty good.

Will the DS offer the same gameplay features? If it does then it goes on my "Buy this Game" list.

According to both articles this RTS is completely real time, not turn based like; Age of Empires: The Age of Kings.

Game Break Tutorials Presents; Video Games

How they are made.

Ok Game Breakers it's time for another tutorial, I know how much you love them. This one goes through the process of making a video game.

(vid via Timboi69)

Now that you have seen the video who can tell me which game was used to show the process of making a video game? That's right Prince of Persia.

It being Saturday I'm sure you all have plans, so I'll end this post... Who me? No I don't go out much... at least not in the daytime or at night, or sniff sniff at all.

The Wheelman

First official Trailer

First thing I thought when I saw this was, 'looks like the Transporter', which was a good movie. Why not make a game similar to it? Vin Diesel is pretty cool too, so I'll be looking for more info on this one, as long as it's in a visual format. 'Cause I don't like reading, no sir don't care for it, not in the least little bit.

Is Silent Hill Based On A Real Town?

This first video is the "History of the Silent Hill", for anyone not familiar with the game. It's fun to watch and it puts you in the mood for the next video.

(vid via KingMetalliX)

This next video is, "Footage from the real Silent Hill" Centralia, PA
Did Centralia, PA really inspire Silent Hill?

(vid via intelinside5)

Did Centralia, PA inspire Silent Hill? Before I answer that question some background on this town. "As recently as 1981 there were over 1,000 residents living in Centralia, although the population has now dwindled to 11, as a result of a 40 year mine fire burning beneath the borough. Not unlike Silent Hill, which was left deserted since devastating coal fires ravaged the town and its people.

A trash fire was lit in an abandoned mine pit in Centralia, in 1962. The fire ignited an exposed vein of coal and spread throughout the mines beneath the borough. Several attempts have been made and millions of dollars have been spent unsuccessfully to extinguish this fire, that still burns today." "It is estimated that the fire has enough fuel for another 250 years."

Tragic circumstances but was this town the inspiration for Silent Hill. Yes... well at least that's what the screenwriter of "Silent Hill The Movie" says. "In researching different elements of Silent Hill, screenwriter Roger Avary came across a town called Centralia, which is in Pennsylvania. Centralia planted the seed for what developed into the town of Silent Hill."

Was it the inspiration for the video game series? Kind of seems that way to me. If you look at the second video, you see the atmospheric fog, and the huge cracks in the ground. The town is completely desolate aside from a few people. The series debut in 1999 the tragedy in Centralia began in 1962. What do you think? Would you go to Centralia... alone... at night?

(first heard of second video on digg, this led to my idea for this post, submitted to digg by TheKipper.)

Wii Hardware + Elebits gameplay

(vid via jayfresh)

I see a Wii mockup and someone playing Elebits, most likely on a Wii development cinder block er ah I mean kit.

Ok Ok I didn't post this video to discuss the Wii mockup... oops I mean "Hardware", I've developed an interest in Elebits.

On the current 1UP podcast they spoke about Elebits and some of the gameplay elements, which sounded interesting, so I decided to take a second look at the above video. Still not sure I get it, but for some reason a part of me is curious about it.

I'm left with more questions than answers, for example, I wonder when we'll see a working Wii?
:)

Just Cause

The Sultry Ladies of San Esperito

GameTrailers wrote; "The heat of the South American sun pales in comparison to what goes down in the volcanic bordello on the island nation of San Esperito." Volcanic bordello?... (keep it clean Walter). Well I'm sure interested in what will 'arise'... what a silly joke. That's it I'm ending this post... RIGHT! Wait for it.... .... NOW! Is the post over? ssh... sorry.

A Tony Hawk Retrospective by GameSpot

(vid via myself)

Tony Hawk rules. Yeah that about sum's it up. Alright I'll "write" some more, ah let me see... Tony Hawk rules, oh wait I already wrote that. Hmmm... I got it Tony Hawk Rocks! Yeah you know.

Ok ok, the video is a little longer the usually, so you may want to know about it before you watch it. Gamespot looks at the Tony Hawk series from beginning to the upcoming Project 8. It's well done, and I hope you enjoy it.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent (X360)

Animated Storyboard

(vid via me)

Hmmm, pretty cool. This could be the 'cell shading' of next gen consoles. It's an interesting look, why not? I'd play it if they made a game like this.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Debut Gameplay Footage

(vid via punch.counterpunch)

Wow, whoever 'captured' this footage started rolling at the right time. When I saw the character in the game walking through the crowed( a huge crowed) of people, I was hooked. Ok it may be the developers way of saying 'see what we can do', I see and I like. Gameplay? Plot? who cares I'm getting this game so I can walk through that crowd.

( bit of 'Johnny come lately on this one; so i was not the first to post it, it's all good.)

First seen.

If You See Only One Video Today Make It This One

The reviews are in:
Game Green says "Don't miss this one"
Watch What You Want proclaims "A must see"
Otaku Ahora declares "I'm gonna see this one again and again"

Ok to be honest I don't know what this video is, or what it's supposed to mean. I saw it at pspfanboy.com and thought I could do something with it.

Well I did something with it, now what? Australia, I figured secretly you wanted to know so I told you. Wonderful place, lovely beaches, I could learn to swim.

What about the women?... sniff... sniff... what about them. I know, I'll go check out my "friend space", that always cheers me up. Why? go see for yourself, without a doubt the hottest "friend space" in town, no that does not include that Tom guy.

(Those three blogs right before the video... belong to me. Sorry... heh heh.)

Stranglehold GC 2006 Trailer

No news or anything really to report just a sweet a** kicking trailer. Which is always nice, I think so anyway.

How Exclusive is Lost Planet?

That Question was asked by 1UP.com, what's the answer?...

The answer is, according to an interview by 1UP's Luke Smith; "We will try to keep it as a 360 exclusive," Takeuchi said. "But, from the company's point of view, when you think about the business, in the future it's something [port the game to PS3] we might have to do."

Well interesting comments, but what the provide me with is a reason for the above trailer, other than my usual posting it 'cause it's cool, or sweet looking. It's actually relevant to an actual news item.

You know what though... my brain hurts, hmm... news hurts. Just like love, but that's a whole other topic I don't even want to go into.

(Read Luke's full article here)

Game Break Presents; The History of Video Games

Found this on Google Video, I went there instead of YouTube 'cause it was down. It seems to be a from the Discovery channel. It's "On overview documentary of the history of video Games from Atari to Nintendo." Cool I like video games, hope you enjoy it.

(vid via doublespy)

F.E.A.R. (X360)

IGN Video Interview

(vid via me)

Good interview, the Xbox 360 version of F.E.A.R. , will contain a "special unique" mission not found in the PC version, cool. Also a new special weapon, which is always nice. F.E.A.R. is due on next gen consoles this fall.

Leipzig: Silent Hill Origins gameplay

(viv via egmmark)

I just saw this and had to post it. First gameplay footage of Silent Hill Origins, sweet. I was not there but it looks like it was captured right off the TV. I don't usually like to post these kinds of videos, I like the official release type. This is an exception, Why? 'cause it's Silent Hill baby! Got to stay tuned for more Leipzig coverage from GameVideos, don't want to miss anything.

Game Break Looks at Xbox 360's Fall '06 Peripherals

(vid via jayfresh)

Jane Pinckard from "The 1UP Show" gives us a look at the Xbox 360 fall '06 peripherals. I was gonna post this on my second blog "Game Green", but it's not often that I get a chance to write Jane Pinckard, within the proper context. Ok maybe once I wrote her a letter about being in love with her, I don't know. Hey I thinks she a hottie ok, check out her blog gamegirladvance.com, she's a very pretty writer. Yeah I said pretty, excuse me I need to do it one more time... Jane Pinckard.

Scarface: The World is Yours

Good interview from GameTrailers.com, ofcourse positive things were said by the developers, but I like what I see. The idea that Tony Montana lives is cool. It reminds me of those "What if" comics. Scarface: The World is Yours is due October 6,2006 (via Gamespot.com)

Three endings that I've never seen, let's start with;

1)KingDom Hearts Secret Ending "Another Side Another Story". How do you unlock it? Complete the game with all keyholes, 99 Dalmatians, and the Hades Cup.(via Gamespot.com)

2)Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix Secret Ending "Another Side, Another Story [deep dive]"
How do you unlock it?

To Unlock Deep Dive in Final Mix
*Note that this is different than normal version of Kingdom Hearts. You can only view this movie in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. According to the difficulties:

Final Mix Beginner : You can't get Deep Dive
Final Mix Mode : Complete Hades Cup, Sealed All Keyholes (Including 100 acre Wood), Get all heartless into your Jimmy's memo (that means you've got to defeat Kurt Zisa and Phantom), Found all trinities, found all 99 Dalmatians, and complete the Jimmy's memo (every single detail of characters, and complete the mini games avaliable)
Final Mix Proud : Sealed all Keyholes including 100 Acre Wood, and clear the Hades Cup

(via Gamespot.com)

By the way Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix is the "Japanese re-release of the game KingDom Hearts. Final Mix featured the English voice acting tracks and added 3 difficulty levels, a new camera system, a cut-scene skip feature, slight level design changes and stage additions, and a trailer for Final Fantasy X-2. It also included either a special music CD or a deck of Kingdom Hearts cards as part of its Limited Edition on the first day of release, and was also available in a Platinum Edition with stickers, a calendar of ary by Tetsuya Nomura, and a figurine of Sora." (via IGN.com)

3)Kingdom Hearts 2 Secret Ending
How do you unlock it? Heck if I know can't really confirm this is from Kingdom Hearts 2. It's all over YouTube, Google Video and different forums, which is where I first saw it, spicifially at the GameTrailers.com Forums. All I have is what the video submitter wrote, "Though not officially confirmed by Square or Disney, creator Tetsuya Nomura has openly admitted to having a plot for Kingdom Hearts III in the works and is planning to create it. Though, he has stated that he is working on another title first. Much like Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts III's first look can be found in the secret trailer at the end of Kingdom Hearts II. The first look at the game shows some new, unknown characters and a whole lot of keyblades."

There you have it long post so I'll end it... ... wait for it... Now!

Anno 1701 Trailer 2

"Build a thriving 17th century and prepare for the wrath of mother nature."

(vid via me)(First seen on GameTrailers.com)

Doing Game Break is such a blast, I goto so many different sites looking for content, and check out games that I wouldn't normally like Anno 1701; the next installment in Sunflowers Interactive's real-time strategy game.

More info and sreenshots from Gamespot.com

Just Cause (X360)

Developer Diary

(vid via me)

I like this video, the developer of Just Cause reveals how many missions there are, how many side missions, and how you can play those missions. All I had to was click the play botton and watch, I suppost the information from this video is written down somewhere, but that would requier reading... yuk.

Reading is not one of my favorite things to do. Well thanks to QJ.NeT, IGN, and "me", I don't have to.

Armored Core 4 For PS3 and Xbox 360

God is Force Trailer

(vid via me)

Details are slim on Armored Core 4, but it will be released for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Armored Core 4 according to IGN "has been revered since its debut on the original PlayStation by hardcore tuner-bot fans, so followers should be happy to note that Armored isn't going anywhere in the next generation."

While I was looking for info on this game I kept seeing Release Date "TBA", but at the end of this video it say "2006.11", that looks like a release date to me.

God Hand PS2

Most Anticipated PS3 Title: Assassin's Creed

According to A GameFly.com Survey.

(vid via me)

Apparently GameFly.com had a survey, and Assassin's Creed is the most anticipated PS3 title. Well this gives me an excuse to post the above video, it's an E3 2K6 GT Interview with, [ok Walter take a deep breath type slowly you can do it], Jade Raymond ____________________________ huh? What happened? Oh yeah I was about to write about the Producer of Assassin's Creed, the mesmerizingly beautiful Jade Raymond, even her name is pretty. If you want further details on this survey check out joystiq.com.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

GameHead and GT team up to bring you the first gameplay for C&C 3.

(vid via me)

Sweet, no way this is gonna run on my PC, but no harm in lookin'. By the way, whoever did the voiceover, I love you. I like it when she says "Today's threat level is elevated" you keep talkin' like that darlin' and today's threat level ain't gonna be the only thing elevated.

Vectrex Games Compilation

(vid via tr0d) (submitted to digg by tonage)

Strange, when I was a kid I wasn't into this kind of game, now I look at it and it looks cool. If it were to appear on a console or hand held I'd get it. As long as the price was right, I don't part with my money easily, I like my money. Well I'd part with it if I could go out with Jessica Chobot, hell I'd part my left arm for a date with her. Then again I don't think my heart could take, 'cause that's what you are Jessica, a heartbreaker.

"Why do you have to be a heartbreaker? when I was being what you want me to be , suddenly everything I've ever wanted, has past me bye"... sniff I love that song.

It's The Sequel You've All Been Waiting For

Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 ...Huh?

(vid via strikegames)

Right, I want to ask you a question, do you like syrupy sweet games that are so cute you want to stick a fork in your eye? Sure you do, well than this game is for you. I don't really know what Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 is other than it's a sequel to Tamagotchi Corner Shop. I just wanted to post it 'cause it was silly, and I sorta like the music, but there's a problem it's stuck in my head, and I'm hearing voices saying "bake cakes"... "open a salon", I'm losing it... it's all gone there's nothing left. Toecutter! he knows who I am, I'm the Night Rider on a one way ticket to freedom! ... ... sorry.

Game Break Spoiler Alert

Silent Hill 2 Dog Ending

(vid via JaredR)

Have you seen this? I saw it a while ago on X-play with Morgan Webb, one of favorite Myspace friends. I include her in my posts whenever I can, she's so pretty, and has got the sweetest smile ...sorry. Well anyway the video shows one of the possible endings of Silent Hill 2, you got a different ending depending on how you played the game, I love the Silent Hill series. It all started with a demo of Silent Hill 3, ran right out and got Silent Hill then Silent Hill 2, then Silent Hill 3 and then I went back and got Silent Hill 2 Restless Dreams for Xbox, then finally Silent Hill 4 The Room. I don't usually pay full price for a game, but when Silent Hill 5 comes out I'm getting it.

Ninety Nine Nights Xbox 360

GTtv Review

(vid via me)

Well the reviews are in, this video is GTtv's review of Ninety Nine Nights for Xbox 360. Not a very good review although there were some positive things said about it. One piece of advice from the review was you may want to rent it before you decide to buy it, good advice. I'm a sucker for pretty visuals and this game's got those so maybe one day, if I'm very good and save my pennies I'll be able to afford a rental. Hey that's the best I can do, spend most of my money on wine women and food, well mostly food, not really on wine either and I prefer not to discuss the third one thank you.

After returning from our recent field trip, I thought you all might enjoy a watching a non video game related lesson. That led to finding the women in today's video, on the surface she looked qualified so after a quick "interview", I decided she would present today's lesson. Something went wrong during the shoot, I kept the tape going, and it's presented here in its entirety. Note to self stick to video games lessons, yep this was one wacky lady, really into some bizarre things not appropriate for Game Break. Ok I admit I'm still hoping she'll call me.

GIRL GAMERS DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU

GameSpot Live Presents Botton Mashing ep8 "Crying Princess" Part 1

GameSpot Live Presents Botton Mashing ep8 "Crying Princess" Part 2

(both videos via me)

I don't know what happened in these videos, I'm not sure if it was real. For most of the first vid and the second, the Girl Gamers competing on "Botton Mashing"(a video game gameshow), are not presented well, that's probably the best way I can put it. I could continue to write my opinions of this show, but that's not what I do best, right ladies .... sorry, my thing is tracking stuff like this down for you to consume. There is a part of me that just wishes I could have been there to advise these young ladies. I'm not just saying that because they were adorable, I'm speaking as a human being, a male human with no social life, but I'm working on it. That reminds me I need to go check out my smoking hot sizzling "Friend Space", everyone a jewel, and no that does not include that Tom guy.

(Found out about this show from, I wish she had a MySpace profile, Marie F, what an angel.)

Rule of Rose

GTtv Preview

(vid via me)

GameTrailers.com just posted a preview of the Japanese release of Rule of Rose. Finally I've been given a clear explanation of what this game is and what the gameplay is like. I like this kind of genre, don't want to go into what I saw too much, so your experience will be like mine the first time I saw it. I'm still creeped out.

American McGee Presents: Bad Day L.A.

Demo Gameplay

(vid via jayfresh)

This was just added minutes ago to GameVideos.com and now it's hear. Well it sure is interesting footage, it gives me an idea of what to expect from this game, but you can't really judge from just a few minutes. I do like the style of the game and it's always good to see humor in a game. I'd better wrap this up I need to do some more content hunting, I love doing that, you never know what will turn up or where.

Halo Graphic Novel

GTtv Review

(vid via me)

GameTrailers.com provides us with great a review of the Halo Graphic Novel. I got a lot out this video, but watch it for yourself, bottom line is I'm hooked, this novel is hot. I've got a big visual sweet tooth, this novel is gonna be some fine eye snacking ... I'm not sure what that means.

My What a Huge Buster Sword You Have

This is the Final Fantasy 7 Buster Sword, and I want it. I found this on my one of my favorite online stores. This is from the product description. "No more small reproductions and inaccurate replicas. This is what you have been making out of foam and searching the internet for, Cloud Strife's Full Size Final Fantasy 7 Buster Sword. Appearing in the Playstation hit Final Fantasy 7 and in the newest film Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children." "Made from thick heavy steel and barely wieldable by anybody but Cloud himself, weighs 13 lbs but with most of the weight being above the handle, in the blade, it feels like 50 lbs. Strap this big bad boy to your back and show it off at any Cosplay convention to any Tifas that might be looking. Measuring nearly 52 inches overall, the blade is 7 inches wide blage 36 1/2 inches long, guard is 8 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches thick, sharp edge, and full tang construction." I'm not trying to drop any hints but my birthday is in November, I'm just saying.

Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII (PS2)

IGN Video Review

(vid via me)

Good review of Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII by Jeremy DunHam. I'm going to get this game for sure. I've become a Final Fantasy fan ever since Morgan Webb(one of my super hot Myspace friends) recommended Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I spent so many hours playing that game, it was a blast. This game features Vincent Valentine, from FFVII, a game that I've never played, but I have seen Advent Children, Vincent appears in that movie, and he looks pretty cool. Like I said this game looks great the review cleared up a couple of questions I had, now I'll wait for the game to drop to a nice local used video game price, or I could choose a more convenient option and buy it online at a good price, from Amazon.com for example.

Guild Wars Nightfall trailer

1st In-Game Cinematic

(vid via jayfresh)

Going to the Joystiq well again, they covered the new Guild Wars Nightfall trailer. "With Nightfall's pre-release bonus pack just one month away, NCsoft and ArenaNet have released a trailer for the next Guild Wars campaign. The video includes sweeping panoramas of the African-themed landscape where Nightfall takes place, as well as battle footage featuring the new paragon and dervish professions." I actually saw this first on Evil Avatar, but I did'nt check it out, big mistake the footage is amazing. I was going to download it from the link Evil Avatar provided, but decided to check the usual suspects first, boom there it was, and now it's here, embedding rocks!

Pictures From THQ's Wii Press Event

Picture From MAXCONSOLE.

Joystiq covered the THQ's Wii Press Event, they wrote, "THQ hosted a super secret special Wii press event in New York City on Tuesday and IGN was on hand to get the pics and the goods. While there isn't any drastic new information that came out if it, there are interesting side notes that did, including the Wiimote speaker implementation:

All games used rumble, but no game used the speaker. When asked about it, a THQ rep told us that no documentation outlining the speaker has been received from Nintendo at this point.

Interesting that so close up until launch and a major developer hasn't been given the full details on a major component in the Wii control scheme. Check after the break for more pictures, including the Wii development kit (which is not a GameCube, like at E3)." Cool, good info but what caught my attention was that picture of the "Development Kit". Joystiq noted it was not a GameCube like the ones used at E3, but those dev kits don't seem very "Wii", look more like cinder blocks to me. Don't want to start any rumors, I'm just saying.

American McGee Presents: Bad Day L.A.

Helicopter Trailer

(vid via jayfresh)

Eurogamer reporter earlier today, "American McGee (remember him?) has had a right old pop at Sony and Microsoft, declaring that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are "just a video card and processor upgrade".

Speaking to CVG in an interview yet to be published, McGee ranted, "The only truly next-gen console out there is the Wii. Everything else is just a video card and processor upgrade."

He reckons Nintendo is going to "capture the hearts" of gamers while "Microsoft and Sony stab each other in the neck" over market-share.

I wonder if Bad Day La, which looks like it will be a fun game, will make an appearance on the Wii.

[Update: Richard over at Aeropause has a link to a demo for Bad Day LA.]

Madden NFL 07 Preview

I've never been into sports games, unless you count SSX Tricky or the Tony Hawk series, but this particular version of Madden looks like fun. I first noticed it when I covered the EA Summer Showcase. I suppose my interests are changing, or maybe it's one of those "right place right time" kinda things. For example I'm a fan of Rallisport Challenge, I knew about the game and had heard good things about it, but it wasn't until I saw it on a demo disk that I gave it a try. I've played the first Rallisport Challenge and the sequel, looking forward to any future installments. In the case of Madden NFL 07, I was probably in the right frame of mind and was open to experiencing something new, like the footage I saw from the Summer Showcase and this video today. It will be a while before I even get an Xbox 360, but I'm gonna add Madden NFL 07 to my "games to get(next gen)" list.

[i first saw this video early this mourning at, Game Trailers.com, but was too tired to post it. than when i woke up i thought i'd just quickly check my bookmarks to see if anybody any body else was covering it, there was, TechEBlog. so i thought, if i cover it now i'll look like some kinda johnny come lately. then i thought @#$* it, i'll cover it anyway.]

Sega Activator Training Video

(vid via jayfresh)

Remember the "Game Crazy" video, here comes another one. I don't know what to say about this one, the video speaks for itself. One word of advice from the vid, "avoid setting up directly beneath light sources" or you will surely die. Have a nice day.

[Update: after posting this i suddenly recalled seeing something about a "game peripheral", so i double checked and yep there it was posted yesterday on Destrotoid, by Niero, thought i saw this one first, oh well, it's all good.]

Game Break: Gets Tutored Lesson 3

HowTo: Disassemble a PS2

I hope you all enjoyed the previous installment, today we are shown how to disassemble a PS2, by Take It Apart dot net. Why take apart a PS2? Good question, not sure, but if you had to it's nice to have a visual instruction on how to do it. Plus I like seeing things taken apart, put back together, I think it's cool.

Utada Hikaru loses A Tetris Competition

Swiping another good story from Kotaku, this time from Brian Ashcraft. It seems that Utada lost a Tetris challenge, I didn't even know she played. I posted an acoustic version of Simple and Clean on Aug 1, so I knew she could sing. Well she must really be feeling kinda down about the loss so I think I'll try to cheer her up, let's all sing for her, I'll start it off "When you walk away, you don't hear me say" come on you know the words. She's gonna love this here we go "Please...Oh baby. Don't go. Simple and clean is the way that your making me feel tonight." That was fun, I love you Utada Hikaru.

Earthworm Jim PSP

Official Movie 1

(vid via me)

I got another good post idea from PSP Fanboy, who wrote, "The Atari love continues today, as impressions and videos from their "Atari Spotlight" slowly trickle in. Another PSP game featured at the event was Earthworm Jim. While the screenshots we've seen so far have looked really good so far, seeing the game in motion has elevated its desirability to an even greater level." "Our pal Jim looks to animate quick brilliantly. The platforming looks absolutely spectacular, with Jim have access to a plethora of moves, including a super-charged jump aided by his suit. While the combat and hit detection appear to be lacking right now, this very early demonstration of Earthworm Jim shows a lot of promise." I've known about Earthworm Jim since the early days of G4, never really got into it, but I like what I see in this video. Looking forward to more updates on this game.

Resident Evil 4 Double Header

"Hooked Man version" of Biohazard 4?

(vid via Evilauron)

These videos apparently show Resident Evil 4 before it was changed into the version that was released for the GameCube then later for PS2. Pretty @#%*#ing cool, I'm really big into visuals, I like eye candy, and these images are sweet eye drooling candy.

My post was based on a story and a fallow up done by Florian Eckhardt.
The original story is here.
The follow up is here.

Death Jr. 2 to feature HDR lighting?!

E3: Death Jr. 2 Debut

(vid via hobart)

PSP Fanboy wrote,"Death Jr. was the first PSP game to be publicly shown, and it wowed a whole lot of people with its technical prowess. If a new interview at QJ.net is to be believed, it appears that we'll be wowed again. Chris Carla commented:Well, we used Renderware on our first game on PSP, and it wasn't exactly perfectly tuned for PSP. After we removed it for [Death Jr. 2], we found our framerates hit 90fps... before we knew it, thanks to our fantastic tech staff, we had light blooms, High Dynamic Range lighting, and lots of other lighting and frame buffer effects running in the game. The net result is that we've probably got some of the most technically advanced features of any title on PSP at this point, which is pretty cool. We've done a lot more than that as well; I think people will be pleased by the tech in the game, and our loading times are still extremely short." Sweet I don't have a PSP, but I want one and Death Jr. 2 is going on my ... sorry forgot want I was going to write, just noticed Erin Burnett what a cuttie, I believe she is what's known as a "Money Honey", grrrrr.

Alone in the Dark Interview

With the absolutely Enchanting Nour Polloni

(vid via me)

I posted on friday the 11th that Alone in The Dark would be pushed back. While looking for footage to go along with that post I found the above interview(pre-E3 2K6) along with a nice trailer, the trailer was included with that post. I kept this interview in my head, well to be honest I kept Nour Polloni in my head. Well can you blame, I'm not sure but I think I've fallen head over heals for a video game producer. Don't know why I'm telling you this, you've got your own problems, ...wait ...just a moment ...just a moment, I think it's my heart, yes by my calculations it will completely fail in 72 seconds... it's working now but will completely fail in 72 seconds, I can feel it , I can feel it, daisy daisy gi..ve me ..y_____________________________________

The game is called "Bullet Bill" you can find it at hedonistica. I found it on Digg, it was submitted by CTRLALTDLT.

Dead Rising Crashing On Xbox 360 ?

Too Intensive For Xbox 360?

(vid via Valkendorm)

Over at MAXCONSOLE there is a post, it reads "Dead Rising is crashing for some gamers, there's a few reports of freezes at Arstechnica amongst other forum boards we're sure." Well I don't want to start any rumors but on July 16 I posted a picture from MAXCONSOLE, that photo of a cracked hinge eventual led to Nintendo announcing on July 21 they would repair the problem for free. Hopefully this issue will be resolved just as quickly, a picture is worth a thousand words, but I'll take video over photos anyday.

PS3 vs Wii Commercial

Apple Style

(vid via TheKittenEater)

I heard about this apple spoof, but I didn't think too much about it. I thought it was just another spoof of those apple TV commercials, but then I saw one of my favorite MySpace friends, Faith Naked, had posted it at Sugar Joy. Then I took notice, I thought if she was covering it there must be something worth seeing. There was, and I'm in love, I don't even know her real name, she calls herself "Wii".

Enchanted Arms Xbox 360

Speed Tactics Battle System

(vid via me)

TeamXbox posted an interview along with this video yesterday. This is part 2 of "Inside Enchanted Arms", I posted part 1 on my second blog called "Game Green" on August 03, 2006. According to TeamXbox, "Enchanted Arms is the first classic Japanese RPG game created specifically for Xbox 360 by FROM Software, the creators of Otogi. Thanks to Ubisoft, Enchanted Arms will get the full North American localization treatment, including English voice-overs and text. The game will give gamers the option to play either the English or Japanese soundtrack, something that hardcore RPG gamers will certainly appreciate." This gamer is sure looking forward to playing this RPG, even though I don't have an Xbox 360. Maybe Dana Jongewaard will let me play with hers... ah I mean her Xboxes no! ... um ...oh, sorry but hot red heads make me nervous.

Dungeons and Dragons Tactics (PSP)

Pre-E3 2K6 GT Interview

(vid via me)

In the recent 1UP Yours podcast Garnett said some positive things about "Dungeons and Dragons Tactics". I never heard of this game so I went looking for info and maybe some gameplay, I found a little info and even less gameplay. What I did find was this interview from GameTrailers.com, there is some footage shown during the interview, looks good.

Just Cause Xbox 360

Crazy Aerial Stunts Trailer

(vid via me)

IGN posted this trailer August 10, 2006, so if you've seen it already watch it again. In Just Cause, "you take on the role of the flamboyant Rico Rodriguez - an undercover CIA operative specializing in regime change - as he tries to overthrow the corrupt government of San Esperito. This rogue South American island is suspected of stockpiling WMDs and it's your job to negate the threat to world peace. It could be to your advantage that this tropical paradise is about to implode as various factions vie for power - it just needs a gentle nudge in the right direction." This game sounds cool and looks great, I think the main character should have been called Rico Crespo, yeah I like the sound of that.

Saints Row Xbox360

Insurance Fraud Gameplay

(vid via EldonPaul)

This is a pretty funny clip, nice rag doll action.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption

Fan Made Trailer

(vid via pomega088)

Nintendo Wii Fanboy posted this video yesterday, it's a fan made trailer for "one of the most wanted titles on the Wii, combines footage from various trailers and previews to form an unstoppable machine that rolls over your senses and leaves them as nothing more than a puddle of mush on the ground." I really like this video, while watching it Halo popped in my head, most likely because of the music used in this trailer.

Top Ten Women of Gaming

I just saw GT Weekly with the drop dead gorgeous heart stopping Amanda Mackay. On this episode they previewed a feature called "Top Ten Women of Gaming", so I checked it out. Good feature good list, but I wasn't sure I agreed with it so I watched it again, then again just to be sure they got the order right. Still not sure so I'm gonna study it again and again, yep I'm gonna study this one hard... ... sorry.

Home Brew Game Hits PS2(JP)

Melty Blood: Act Cadenza

(vid via strikegames)

Found this while I was checking on my subscriptions, according to Gamespot it's a "2D fighting game that was originally a home-brew title released for the PC by independent game development group Watanabe Seisakujo, but it later appeared in arcades due to its popularity. The PS2 version will be based on the arcade release, meaning that it includes Aoko Aozaki and Kouma Kishima, two new characters not available on the original PC game." All I know is after watching this vid I can't get that J-Rock song out of my head or is it J-Pop, I don't know, I don't get out much.

Tokobot Plus: Mysteries of the Karakuri

Official Trailer 1 (PS2)

(vid via me)

GameSpy reports that, Tokobot for PSP is coming to PS2. The PSP version "had a memorable visual design and an interesting helper mechanic where your robot friends teamed up to overcome obstacles. One of the primary complaints about the game was that it needed a bit more of everything. The PS2 version "aims to take on all criticisms. More stages, new attacks, new upgrades and abilities, and improved camera control." This is good news for me since I don't have a PSP but I do have a PS2.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2:March of The Minis Intro

(vid via chaoscontrol14)

I was checking out GameDaily's "one minute preview" for Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2:March of The Minis, when I wondered if there was any new footage for it. I found this video, it's been around for a while but it's the first time I've seen it. I'm definitely gonna get this game, I played original Mario vs. Donkey Kong , and I loved it.

Alone in the Dark :Trailer

Game Informer reported on 8/10/06,"As Atari announced their financials yesterday, one of their high priority next-gen titles, Alone in the Dark, will seemingly be pushed back. Alone in the Dark will be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and Atari CEO Bruno Bonell revealed that the game will not be out until the 2008 fiscal year. This means that Alone in the Dark won't see the light of day until the time period between April 2007 - March 2008. Bonell explained that the franchise will be extended to other platforms as well, but which platforms was not disclosed."

My first experience with a "survival horror" game was a PSone demo for Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. It was fun but it didn't make me a fan of that genre, then a few years later I played a demo for Silent Hill 3, that game blew me away. This new Alone in the Dark looks good, well at least the trailer.

Bully Debut Trailer

This game looks great, when I first saw it I didn't think to much of it, because I didn't want to play a bully. But after seeing the video it seems like the main character is the one being bullied. Well now I'm hoping to see some gameplay footage so I can get a better grasp of this game.

[update: first seen on ign, i was so stoked about seeing this trailer i imediatly posted it, i kinda thought i may have been the first but nope, almost all my favorite blogs have the youtube version up maybe i'm the first with the google version, it's all good.]

Defcon 'Fallout' Trailer

in this game, everyone dies

(vid via jayfresh)

1up.com writes,"From the makers of indie cult hit Darwinia comes Defcon, a PC real-time strategy game that mimics what many people who saw the movie WarGames would expect from a videogame featuring the same topics. Politics and nuclear war play key roles." I'm really getting pyched for this game "War Games" is one of my favorite movie's.

Tales of the Tempest Gets Release Date

japanese trailer for tales of the tempest

(vid via enature)

Go Nintendo has good news, Tales of the Tempest "has received a Japanese release date, which will hopefully put us closer to a US date. Japanese Tales fans can expect this title to ship on October 26th." That is good news, I don't have a DS-lite, but I did get my original Nintendo DS back from my nephew, I forgot how heavy it is, but I'm glad it's back.

Bullet Witch Coming to North America

bullet witch japanese commercial

(vid via firebranded)

Siliconera is reporting that, "Atari announced that they have made an agreement with AQ Interactive to publish Bullet Witch outside of Japan. The game is set during "“humanity'’s dusk"” (that'’s year 2013) where the world is about to be destroyed by incoming demons. A witch named, Alicia is the world'’s last hope. She'’s armed with both guns and spells to fight back. Early in the game's development cycle Bullet Witch was compared to the anime series Witch Hunter Robin. The game was finally released for the Xbox 360 last month in Japan." That's good because the sooner it gets here the sooner it wavailablevailble at a price I can afford. I don't have an Xbox 360 so there still time, I have heard some negative things about this game, but to me it looks like fun and the main character looks hot. I'll probably buy it for the same reason I bought "Red Ninja" for the original Xbox, wow now there was a hottie.

( i don't know what she's saying in the vid but my answer is yes, anytime, right now would be good)

Halo Meets Donkey Kong

Have you seen this one? First time for me. It's ok, but if I were there it would have gone down a little different, nobody messes with Mario not when I'm around he's mi fratelo.

Defcon gameplay 04

(video via jayfresh)

How about global thermonuclear war? ...Yes, Wouldn't you prefer a good game of chess? ...No, ...fine, remember WarGames the movie from 1983, well the developers of DEFCON probably do. Introversion's "DEFCON is an online multiplayer strategy game based around the theme of global thermonuclear war, inspired by the 1983 cult-classic Wargames", according to Gamespot.

Today Game Break is instructed on how to disassemble a Nintendo Gamecube. This lesson's instructor is TakeItApart.net, why learn something like this? Archlord Episode : One

(vid via Banditrice)

I was checking my subscriptions on YouTube for any new additions and found this video for Archlord, a MMORPG in the world of Chantra, where one player has the ability to become the supreme ruler of all the realm. Sounds cool, this is one type of game I have not tried yet , but games like World Of Warcraft, and now Archlord are really enticing me into playing one. My main concern is upgrading my PC, maybe if I win the lottery by my birthday in November I'll treat myself to a gaming laptop.

Today Game Break Gets Tutored

Today's Lesson "Know Your Imports" by Carrie Gouskos

(vid via me)

School is in Session and the lovely Carrie Gouskos is today' instructor. Carrie did a feature on Gamespot, she ask's "Have you ever been interested in a unique Japanese game that had no hope of release outside of Japan?", my answer is yes. One game comes to mind, "Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition", which is a PSP port of the PS1 Tales of Phantasia that includes voices for the full main story, in addition to expanded battle modes and characters, according to Gamespot. I suppose since I don't even have a PSP I shouldn't even be thinking about playing a PSP import, well I don't have a pretty girlfriend like Carrie either, but that's not going to stop me from thinking about one. Someday hopefully ...sniff ... I'll ... sniff ...get one, PSP, girlfriend either one would be nice.

American McGee's New Development Studio

American McGee Presents:Bad Day LA- Trailer

(video via TheCorrupt)

Next Gen writes; According to an entry on his blog, McGee's company, The Mauretania Import Export Company, is "building a new development team in Shanghai. "The game that the new team will be working on is described as "an episodic game set in a dark, fairy tale universe." Interesting maybe it will be similar to the 2000 PC game American McGee's Alice. This posts featured video is for American McGee Presents:Bad Day LA which is due out at the end of this month on PC, also on Xbox date TBA, according to Gamespot.

Final Fantasy XII Commercial

I was checking my e-mail and saw that the latest GameFly Newsletter had arrived. I noticed they had the option of renting Final Fantasy XII , even though it's not due out until Oct 31, 2006. I'm looking forward to playing Final Fantasy XII , but out of sight out of mind, now because of that Newsletter it popped back in my head. Well this video sure curbs my appetite.

CellFactor: Revolution Announcement Trailer

(video via EldonPaul)

CellFactor is an FPS with an epic storyline, set in a warefare industrial atmosphere. It features 3 playable main characters, each with distinctive play styles. This physics-heavy action game will offer first-person shooting action and psychic powers that will let you smash the landscape to bits. From a preview I found on Gamespot. So the annoucement was Winter 2006 available on PC and Xbox 360, cool, but what blew me out of the water was the score, amazing. The official site from the video is here.

50 Cent: Bulletproof G Unit Edition for PSP

(vid via me)

This weekend I watched "On The Spot" and one of the games featured was 50 Cent: Bulletproof G Unit Edition for PSP. It looked like fun so I wanted to post some gamplay footage. I like the overhead prospective it's different from the original 50 Cent Bulletproof which was third person. A preview by Gamespot can be found here.

Next-Gen's TOP 50 HANDHELD GAMES of THE CENTURY

"Next-Gen has ranked the top 50 handheld games of the Game Boy Advance, PSP, and Nintendo DS generation, based wholly on unit sales. Revenues, aggregate review scores, commentary, and more are included."
I love lists like this one, usually I'll see a list of classic games and note all the games I missed out on playing, but there were several games on this list that I have played and are big favorites like #24 Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memory. You can check out the full list here.

TGS 2006 Largest Ever

(photo via DigiNegs)

Marking the show's tenth anniversary Tokyo Game Show 2006 promises to be the biggest event in the show's history. With E3 suddenly getting severely downscaled TGS (and other game shows) could suddenly take on even greater importance.
TGS 2006, through August 3, is already slated to have exhibits by more than 143 different companies occupying 1,710 booths. Last year TGS featured 131 exhibitors in 1,433 booths. To accommodate the expansion of the event, organizers are setting up an additional hall in the Makuhari Messe exhibition center for this year's show, —that makes this the first show since 2001 to fill Halls 1 - 8 at that venue. That was an excerpt from a GameDaily feature.

The New DS Lite Crack

(picture via; maxconsole)

Not another one, I posted previously about a crack appearing on the hinge of the DS lite, and how Nintendo agreed to repair the "mostly cosmetic" crack. Well now there is this new crack that is not just cosmetic, it actually can make your DS Lite unplayable. Well I got my DS back from my nephew, what was I thinking when I lent it to him, so with my fat DS in my hand I'll wait, before I switch to the lite side.

Official Nintendo Gamecube Trailer: The Nintendo Difference

(vid via kinosama0)

"“The Nintendo Difference"” - a promo video released before the GameCube launch, with a lot of footage of games like Raven Blade and Donkey Kong Racing that never came out, in addition to a look at Kameo (which eventually came out on Xbox360) and some clearly pre-rendered concepts of Mario Kart and Metroid Prime alongside the infamous Legend Of Zelda Link/Gannondorf fight. That was from "GameCube: A Video History That Never Was" by Power.TV. This feature was great, they collected several video clips, like the trailer for GameCube, and other rare clips, of games that went to other systems and games that never were produce, like Mario 128.

Snake on Laura Foy

Remember Laura Foy from G4 she's now working on the 10 show. Well according to her latest blog entry she's in India for "Imagine Cup", which is a competition designed to recognize students who demonstrate excellence in a diverse range of technical and artistic pursuits. I love that picture, she has on funny story about on her blog.

[update: I wanted to write that "I think Laura looks cute" in that picture, but I think if I did she might kill me. So I won't write that "I think you look cute in that picture Laura" those words will not appear in this post.]

The Greatest American Hero Video Game

William Katt is best known to legions of fans as Ralph Hinkley, the schoolteacher who received a suit with superpowers from aliens, only to lose its instructions. "The Greatest American Hero," which ran for three seasons on ABC from 1981 to 1983, is still alive today through syndication and DVD. Whenever I go anywhere, the kids in their mid-20s to adult 40 year-olds tell me they loved the 'Greatest American Hero,'" said Katt. "One thing I'll say about the fan base is that they are great people," said Katt. "They really appreciate what goes into making those type of genre things. I've been at the Chiller convention where I've gone for 'The Greatest American Hero' and everyone is dressed as the characters. It's a lot of fun." That type of dedication could result in a revival of the franchise. At a time when Hollywood is turning TV shows like "Miami Vice" and "Dallas" into movies, "The Greatest American Hero" is certainly a candidate. "Steve Cannell had been in talks with Disney for years about doing a movie," said Katt. "I read a very funny script by Paul Hernandez, who was one of the writers of Sky High. They were throwing around Owen Wilson's name a few years back. I don't know what ever became of it and why it never became a feature." Katt said it seems like a "Greatest American Hero" video game would be a natural if they were to do a movie. But Katt's not resting on his laurels when it comes to video games. The Hollywood actor, who's still busy with new film and TV projects, is developing his own original next generation video game. "I've been working on developing a third-person adventure game for the next generation systems for about a year," said Katt. "It's an epic re-telling of a story and a mythology. I've set it in today's world and I've been working with some people to develop that. I have a game developer working on it, but I don't want to go into it too deeply because it's so secretive." That was from a Yahoo Games Story. I was a big fan of the show growing up and I hope the current video game project works out for William Katt, because that might lead to an actual Greatest American Hero Game. Remember Connie Selleca was also in the show I fell for her big time, well I almost made it to the end of a post without mentioning a pretty lady.

Zelda: 20th Anniversary Shirt

I saw episode 40 of The 1Up Show, and the very cute Hiroko Minamoto spoke with "The King of Games" designer Masaaki Enami. The part of the interview I like best, besides watching Hiroko Minamoto (I think I'm in love again) , was the 20th Anniversary Zelda shirt. It has on it shields from Zelda games from four different consoles, the Famicom(NES), Super Famicom(SNES), N64, and GameCube. 20 years of shield designs and the crossed Master Swords, sweet.

The Screen Savers! - Shocking Xbox controller

Have you seen this one? The 60 million dollar kid, Kevin Rose, demonstrates his modded Xbox controller. Good video, but my favorite part was when the enchanting Jessica Corbin makes an appearance, I miss TechTv, and Jessica Corbin.

ColecoVision Ad 1982

(vid via siouxmoux)

I mentioned in previous post that the ColecoVison was my first console. Well I'm bringing it up again because of a new tool I've been using lately, YouTube. When I first started this blog it was mostly pics and words, but one day I tried video, now I'm hooked. I guess because I grew up in front of the TV, I suppose writing more and reading more word be better for me, but old habits die hard.

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Gameplay

(video via egmjay)

Have you seen this, first time for me. Looks like a fun method of controlling gameplay. I have a DS but it was so bulky that I set it aside and picked up a Game Boy Micro. I want to play this new game but not on my old DS, it's time to upgrade to a DS lite.

(source: via pedromario)

[update: After posting this it suddenly hit me to check Google Video or YouTube for gameplay footage, they have it , ton's of it. I'm an idiot, in my own defense I was distracted by Jennifer Tsao from the EGM podcast, so is so sweet, oh there goes my heart again, I need a nap.]

Stranglehold pushed back to 2007

(video via sinmal)

No Stanglehold this year. According to Gamespot, Midway is saying that it will be out in the first quarter of 2007. Nuts, the sooner a game comes out the quicker it will drop to price I can afford. Well I know it will be worth the wait, Chow Yun--Fat rocks!

Killzone Liberation (PSP)

I can write something here, and tell you why I chose to post this video, but I'm sure it you watch it you'll know why. Bottom line it looks like a fun game.

Wii ride Wii Rampage Wii love

Well I got a car so I ride, I'll be getting a Wii so I can rampage, I'd rather not talk about the last one.

Dead Rising webisode 4

You Know the more I see of this game the more I get into it. I used to work the night shift in a grocery store and this video really captures how overzealous some people can get about their duties.

Game Crazy Training Video

I felt really uncomfortable watching this, I saw a Digg story submitted by kefs. The story was from a GameDaily Blog, which shows a training video for the store Game Crazy. I'm pretty sure no civilians were supposed to see this, but that's what makes it interesting to watch, for me anyway. It was added to YouTube by eshock, I'd like to know how this vid was obtained, just curious.

A Second Look :Pikman 2

The other day I visited one of the blogs of my friend, Faith Naked ouch, oh sorry but I just burnt my fingers when I typed her name, hmm I wonder why. Well... um where was I oh yes, she posted her "Ten Top Favorite Games Ever", I love lists, one game stood out more than the others, #7 Pikman, it stood out because for some reason Pikman 2 popped back in my head a while ago. So I went looking for a vid I could post but there weren't any so I posted one on YouTube. It's not in English but the charm and fun of the game comes through. Pikman was great and when I heard a sequel was due, I was really looking forward to seeing it, but the story kind of put me off. In Pikman your fighting to leave the planet, not just because your life support systems will soon be gone, but you want to get back home to your family, I cared about Captain Olimar. In Pikman 2 the story is you need to go back to the original planet to get stuff to sell to save you job. Ok does not grab me like the first one, but taking a second look at the vid led me to conclude that it's a fun game and I want to go back to that world soon.

Xbox 360 Chopper

This insane picture is from Kotaku, they wrote; Game retailer Gamestop Corp. recently had a contest through company owned Game Informer magazine, giving one lucky winner an Xbox 360 chopper. The extremely lime green bike is one-of-a-kind and was build by custom maker Martin Bros. This bike is so awesome, the work that went into making this, impressive. I'd actually like to see how it was made, that would be so cool.

Tv Ads: New Super Mario Brothers

The top video was added to YouTube by jromz03, and the second was added by majkeld. Ok here we go, why did I post these two vids? Um....ah...well...why not, can I help it if I really like Mario. Hey! you know what I just noticed, the gamers in those ads are Hot! How did I miss that. I just posted the ads because I'm a big Mario fan, ok ok you got me, I admit it I also like Luigi.

OpenAlpha 13 : Unfinished Business

Jenn Cutter released on Monday the new OpenAlpha, it's a good show about video games. I've seen them all, she's smart and passes on really good info on many different gaming topics. The best part of the show is her smile so sweet, oh my heart, I'd better stop.

e3 The Club Trailer Xbox 360

TeamXbox did a story: "Top 10 Next -Gen Sleepers", they wrote; Wea'’ve seen little information about this title since our initial look at this years E3 event, but we can'’t help but continue to be excited about the addictive and intense possibilities this game will offer. In the world of The Club, players will enter the seedy world of murder, money, and hunting, all combined into a sick and twisted game. A third person action title at its heart, this game will toss players into levels at break neck speed, as they move through each setting being hunted by a group known as "“hunters"”. As the prey in this game, it will be up to players to not only survive this sick and twisted game set-up by the moneymen, but take down the hunters that are after them as well. The prototype demo we were witness too showed off already silky smooth gameplay that ran at an incredible pace. This title is being set-up to posses a crazy amount of replayability, but for now, we are just chomping at the bit to learn about all of the gameplay types the game will bring to the table. Well I decided to check out the trailer(from LiquidOnizuka) and it rocks, can't wait for more footage from this one.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - New trailer

This was added to YouTube August 01, 2006 by; rememberyesterday, who wrote Brand new trailer for THQ's upcoming sequel, Destroy All Humans! 2. First time seeing this for me and I like it, nice to see a game trying to be funny and succeeding.

Dirge of Cerberus - Intro FMV

This is from a GameInformer story, All of those U.S. Final Fantasy VII fans out there can finally get their hands on Dirge of Cerberus in just a few weeks. We sat down with Square Enix’s latest title and evaluated some of the tweaks made to the game since it came out in Japan. It’s been smoothed out for sure, but should people play it for more than just the story and beautiful CG cutscenes? Dirge is almost solely focused on Vincent Valentine, the dark but pretty fan favorite from Final Fanasy VII. Three years after the events of FFVII, a group calling themselves Deepground starts attacking metro areas. When they arrive at his city, Vincent reluctantly agrees to help the WRO (World Regenesis Organization) defend the city. From there he pursues Deepground in search for answers, and we find out more about his past. Well I recently saw Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and I loved, never played Final Fantasy VII but my plan is to get caught up with the series up to Final Fantasy VII. I'm sure by then this game will have not only come out, but will be available and at a good low price.

PSP - Gangs of London

GameDaily had some pretty good things to say about Gangs of London, so I thought I'd check to see what YouTube had and I found this video added by Phenvine. Looks good, going to keep my eye on this one.

The Twilight Approaches

According to Go Nintendo, Alapage, an online retailer, has posted quite a strange date for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the title is slated for a November 24th release in Europe. It is very strange for a site to have an exact date like this, that isn’t anywhere near a placeholder date. The same site has now started taking pre-orders for Twlight Princess as well. If this date were to turn out true, can we expect a Wii US release 1-2 weeks before this date, and a 3-4 weeks prior release in Japan? Well a November release would be nice, the sooner it's out the sooner it will appear in a used game store. When I first saw The Legend Of Zelda E3 2004 trailer I was so syched, if it had come out that year I probably would have bought it, and I don' like paying full price for my games. Something about that trailer really hit me, check it out, listen to the audience reaction, that's just how I felt.

Brand new footage of Crackdown for Xbox 360

This was added today to GameVideos.com, this game looks like good really colorful and the physics are awesome.

PSP: DENSHA DE GO "Train Simulator"

This was added to YouTube by strikegames. I found through PSP Fanboy, they wrote: While the Japanese may not like Loco Roco, they love the Densha de GO! series. And who wouldn't? By looking at the trailer, it appears that the game simulates the experience of riding one of Japan's great train lines. Yes... you heard me correctly. There's nothing I like to do more on my daily commute on the train than to play a game pretending that I'm on a train. I don't know what is going on in the clip, but it made me laugh, hope you like it.

Eureka Seven Vol 1. The New Wave teaser video

This was added to YouTube by Siliconera. They also have a story on their site, they wrote, Namco Bandai Games sent over a new gameplay video of Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave, which highlights some of the features of the game. Unlike other anime games, Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave doesn’t exactly follow the anime series. Instead it’s a complementary tale set years before the events with Renton. The world still has series staples like LFO (Light Finding Operation) Robots, sky surfing (aka lifting) and plenty of combat. Looks great I've never heard of the Game or the Cartoon Network show it' based on, but I'll be watching for further update's to this game.

Kingdom Hearts: Simple and Clean Acoustic Version

The other day for some reason I was thinking about the song "Simple and Clean" from Kingdom Hearts. I found this on YouTube it has to be the best version of the song I've heard. This clip is ,Utada Hikaru singing an acoustic version of Simple and Clean on her 20th birthday on a webcast from a studio. I think I'm in love.
